Mailbox Cluster Box Units to be Replaced

If your mailbox is located in one of the cluster box units (CBUs) circled in red on the map below, your mailbox CBU is going to be replaced in the near future.

These CBUs are being replaced with a newer style of CBU that is slightly more secure than the old style of CBU, making them less vulnerable to break-in/mail theft.

The new CBU will have the same number of mailboxes with identical numbering.  Your mailbox number will not change, but you will receive three new keys for your new mailbox lock.

If you have not done so already, please send an email to the HOA (info(at)marymoorhillhoa.org) and let us know which CBU your mailbox is located in and which mailbox number is yours.  This information will be needed when it comes time to distribute the new keys.

  •  164TH CT NE CUL-DE-SAC ISLAND
  •  LOWER NE 50TH ST CUL-DE-SAC ISLAND

The CBUs will probably replaced in about one month.  The HOA will send out emails and update this post as the installation date nears.

(Note:  If your CBU is at the south end of 162ND CT NE or on the sidewalk of the upper NE 50TH ST, your CBU has already been replaced with one of the newer style CBUs.)

2/12/2025: Update to the Board of Directors

Catherine McNamara Orona's term as Vice President of the Board of Directors (the "Board") ended in February of 2025. Catherine agreed to serve a new 3-year term as Vice President and no other HOA members expressed a desire to serve in this position.

At the 2025 Annual Meeting of the HOA, the meeting attendees or their proxies voted 10 - 0 FOR Catherine McNamara Orona as Vice President of the Board.  Catherine's term lasts through February of 2028.

Thank you to Catherine McNamara Orona for being willing to serve on the Board.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

2/12/2025: Updates to the ACC Committee

Cathy Kopp's and Hong Sodoma's terms on the Architectural Control Committee (the "ACC") ended in February of 2025.  Thank you to Cathy and Hong for serving on the ACC.

Current ACC member, Ushah Kiran Kommi Reddi, kindly agreed to take over in the ACC Chairperson role.

At the 2025 Annual Meeting of the HOA, the Board of Directors unanimously appointed Ushah Kiran Kommi Reddi as the ACC Chairperson.

Thank you to Nancy Heard, Ushah Kiran Kommi Reddi, and Keren Tan for being willing to serve on the Architectural Control Committee.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

By HOA rules, the ACC should be comprised of 3-5 members. There are still 2 vacant spots on the ACC. If you would like to help out by serving on the committee, please reach out to the HOA. No special expertise is required to be on the committee.

As a reminder to all HOA Members:  HOA rules require homeowners to submit an Architectural Control Committee request form to the ACC and to receive approval from the ACC before beginning any work that affects the exterior appearance of your home.   This includes exterior painting, roof replacement, major landscaping changes, and fence repair/installation.

Notice of 2025 Annual Meeting

The 2025 Annual Meeting of Members (the “Meeting”) of the Marymoor Hill Divisions 1 and 2 Homeowners Association (the “HOA”) will be held at 6:30pm - 7:30pm PST on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in Meeting Room 2 of the Redmond Regional Library, 15990 NE 85th St, Redmond, WA.

Only homeowners of record at December 31, 2024, who are current on their payment of HOA dues will be entitled to vote at the Meeting.

2025 Annual Dues Notices Mailed on 12/1/2024

2025 Annual Dues Notices were mailed on December 1, 2024. Watch for your notice to arrive soon in your mailbox.

If you have consented to receive HOA notices by email, your dues notice should have already arrived in your inbox at the email address you provided.

NOTE: Annual Dues are $300; however, the HOA Board of Directors has the ability to lower the dues in any given year if the funds are not required. The Board has voted to reduce the 2025 Dues to $250.

2025 Dues are $250, due on January 1, 2025.

12/1/2024: Update to the Board of Directors

Wan-Chih Tom resigned as the HOA Vice President of the Board of Directors (the "Board") effective November 30, 2024. Thank you, Wan-Chih, for your help on the Board.

The Board of Directors voted to appoint Catherine McNamara Orona to finish out Wan-Chih's term as Vice President, effective December 1, 2024. Catherine's term lasts through February of 2025.

HOA notice regarding mailboxes.

Following the recent break-in of one of the HOA's mailbox clusterbox units, the HOA Board of Directors offers these suggestions:

1. If you see someone breaking into one of the mailbox units, please call 911 and report it to the police. Please DO NOT CONFRONT the perpetrator. Nothing in the mailbox is worth risking your life over.

2. Promptly retrieve your mail from your box after delivery each day.

3. If you are going to be away, put in a USPS Vacation Hold with the United States Postal Service or have a friend or neighbor retrieve your mail each day you are gone.

4. Do not use the outbound mail slot for anything that is important or of value. It would be best to deposit your outbound mail at a United States Post Office.

5. Sign up for USPS Informed Delivery so you know what mail to expect to be delivered each day.

Mailbox CBU broken into on 8/6/2024

The mailbox cluster box unit (CBU) at the south end of 162ND CT NE was broken into on August 6, 2024.

The HOA is working to file an insurance claim to have the CBU replaced as soon as possible. Once the box is replaced, new mailbox keys will be distributed to HOA members with a tenant mailbox in this CBU.

Current estimate is approximately 5 weeks for the installation of the replacement CBU.

UPDATE 8/15/2024:  The new mailbox shipped from the factory on 8/14/2024 and is tentatively due to arrive at the installer's place of business on 8/20/2024.  Hopefully the new box will be installed within 7 - 10 days after it is delivered.

UPDATE 8/22/2024:  The new mailbox is scheduled to be installed on 8/23/2024.  Once the new box is installed the HOA will have new keys to distribute to HOA members with a tenant mailbox in this unit.  Email the HOA to set up a time to have the new keys dropped off at your house.

UPDATE 8/23/2024:  The new mailbox has been installed, the USPS has installed the postal lock, and normal mail delivery should resume.  If you have not received your new mailbox keys, please email the HOA to set up a time to receive them.

National Night Out, Annual Summer Party Coming August 6th

The Marymoor Hill Homeowners Association will have its annual summer party on "National Night Out" which is Tuesday, August 6, 2024.  The party will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm in the cul-de-sac located between 16311 NE 50th St and 16343 NE 50th St.
